March 2004 Dear Mom, I made it over here. I can’t tell you much about the location, but I know that I am always in God’s everlasting arms. Tell my Church family I feel safe whenever I go out on missions because I can feel their prayers. Keep praying for me and the troops. Gotta go, Mom. I have another mission. Love Ya!- Lamont |
July 2004 Hi Dad, I don’t have much time so this will be kind of short. Everyday I think about you and mom. I keep trying to call Lanny but I keep missing him. I want you to be proud of me so I joined the Marines. I am glad I did. The Marines are the best! Sincerely – Lamont |

September 2004 Sup Ma, (Christina) It feels weird with my little sister (Fina) in high school. I need to be there to watch out for her. I’m eating an MRE and it makes me sad to know that while I am sitting here eating an MRE, so many kids over here are starving. I try to think happy thoughts though. When I come home we are going to play music and dance for hours. I dream abut that all the time. Can’t wait to see you again. I Love You! |

September 2004 Mrs. Wilson, I had to let you know that Lamont was one of my best friends. On the morning he met his fate, he was happy. To him, it was going to be just another daily routine. We are all sad but you should know that Lamont loved you. He spoke often of his mom, his family, and of Jesus Christ. We will really miss him. I want to come see you and tell you more when I return. Can I? Goodbye - Samuel |
